Kami Flack

Kami Flack is a writer whose work explores the space between inherited beliefs and lived experience.Raised in a high-control religious environment, she spent much of her life trying to reconcile the beliefs she was taught with the realities she observed around her. From an early age, she wrestled with questions about faith, suffering, love, and what it means to be good. Over time, those questions became impossible to ignore. When her son Cole became critically ill and later died after a prolonged medical battle, the questions she had carried for years collided with a faith that no longer seemed large enough for the realities she and her family faced. What followed was a profound journey through grief, loss, religious deconstruction, and the painful unraveling of beliefs that no longer aligned with her lived experience. In their place emerged a deeper commitment to truth, curiosity, authenticity, and the courage to follow the questions wherever they led.Through deeply personal storytelling, Kami writes about grief, religious trauma, motherhood, identity, and the courage it takes to examine what we believe. Her work invites readers to embrace curiosity, trust their lived experience, and discover what remains when certainty gives way to authenticity. When Faith Couldn’t Hold is her first book.
